Board of Directors

The Disability Law Center of Alaska (DLC) has openings on its volunteer Board of Directors.

DLC provides legal representation, education, and strategic advocacy to Alaskans with disabilities and has offices in Anchorage, Fairbanks, Bethel and Juneau.

We are seeking board members to assist in overseeing and supporting the mission of the organization and providing strategic guidance to it. Our vision is a board that reflects Alaska's disability community and the state's ethnic and cultural diversity.

Members will attend in-person board meetings three times per year, serve on committees, and participate in teleconferences related to the work of the board.  (View the board member job description here.)

DLC currently has a particular need for board members with fundraising experience, and for members with developmental disabilities or family members of individuals with developmental disabilities. Additionally, DLC is always looking for members with financial and accounting experience and members from Southwest or Northern Alaska or other rural areas.
